OpenAI Livestream on May 13 to Reveal New ChatGPT and GPT-4 Features

OpenAI has just confirmed that they will be hosting a live stream on Monday, May 13 at 10AM PT to unveil some exciting updates for ChatGPT and GPT-4. The announcement comes following a report that the company plans to launch a Google Search competitor next week.

OpenAI Logo In a post on Twitter/X, OpenAI stated that they will be streaming live on their website to demo the new features. The OpenAI website also teases “Spring Updates” with a promise of showcasing the latest advancements in their language models.

The new search engine is expected to work by effectively asking questions to ChatGPT, with the chatbot bringing back answers with images and citations from the web. It is also expected that the service will be powered in part by Microsoft’s Bing search engine.

The event is scheduled exactly 24 hours prior to Google I/O 2024’s keynote, where Google is likely to unveil its latest AI products and advancements, many of which are likely to be tied into Search. This strategic timing suggests that OpenAI is positioning itself as a strong competitor in the AI search market.

Stay tuned for more updates on the exciting new features that OpenAI will be unveiling during their May 13 livestream!
